A Brief Story of Mine

For a very long time, I thought I have no other option than to build a career in the corporate world. As my father has proven to me, with hard work, it is possible to climb up on the corporate ladder. The managerial position attracted me because of the higher income opportunity, and I wanted my parents to be proud of me. However, I didn’t feel like I was doing my job out of passion.

How did I find my very first passion?

When I was young, I was tapping on everything all the time. One day I saw a band playing on stage, and I couldn’t sleep that night. The drum kit enchanted me. It was so big and sounded so punchy. I determined that when I grow up, I will be a famous musician. So I bought a cheap second-hand drum kit from my pocket money, and I went to a music club to learn music, and within a few years, I played in a band.
When I was on stage, there was an unexplainable feeling insight me I haven’t felt ever since. Being a musician was my first real passion.
However, I left music later because everybody around me said that being a musician is something that you can not do for a living. My “influencers” kept saying to me that I am wasting my time dreaming about something that is never going to happen.

Quitting music not just devastated me but also changed my future. Despite all the anti-music advice I played in several different local bands for a few years. At the bottom of my heart, I am still a musician. However, my life made a twist when we moved abroad.

I tried a couple of different things in my life, but nothing satisfied me.

I was a retail supervisor, a warranty manager in a car dealership, and now I am a retail deputy manager. But, I didn’t find passion and fulfilment in any of these jobs. I also owned a traditional high street retail store for a while where I experienced the power of freedom. Being self-employed was the only period in my life when I felt fulfilment.

My first child was born in 2001. I worked from early morning to late evening. Every Friday and Saturday night I played music in pubs. I was barely at home, which emotionally cost me as my little girl didn’t really have a chance to get to know me.

I realised that I did nothing else but chasing money. I lost the sensation of that special feeling I felt when I played music. I didn’t just lose passion, but I lost direction too. At the age of 47, I got to that point when I realised that I need to make some changes in my life. Because I knew that it is not the life I wanted for my family and myself. I want to gain financial security for my family, but, at the same time, I want to find my purpose.

I started browsing online what type of business I could do from home besides my full-time job. I began to read self-development books, and I bought audio records from different motivators such as Brian Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, or Eckhart Tolle. I began to search what business would provide me with the lifestyle that matches up with the life I would like to live but doesn’t need too much capital investment. I found out that, learning digital skills and starting an online business  would be an obvious solution.

I didn’t know anything about how to market online, I was far away to be a techie person but I became determined to learn it. So, I immersed myself in online research to find an accountable online business education.

As I was searching, I accidentally stumbled upon a Facebook advertisement that was different from the others. A young lady, who is a single parent, wrote an ad about where and how she learned online marketing. She explained in the ad briefly how being a digital entrepreneur allowed her to get rid of her job and being a full-time mum. She now lives abundantly in happiness and independence by *selling online products through advertisements. She is now having plenty of time with her family, which is the most important thing to her. I resonated with her story. I thought that even if I start to learn the online business from scratch now, in a few years, I can master it and will have a chance to live the life I wanted.

I contacted her, and she sent me a few free on-demand workshop educational videos (WHICH YOU CAN ACCESS HERE) to see if it is for me or not. After watching the free videos, I found them very valuable, and I decided to join a community of like-minded people.

While I started to re-skill myself, I realised that I am not just a digital entrepreneur lifestyle enthusiast. I also found to be passionate about to help people to find their purpose in life as a life coach or consultant. I’d love to help people to find their passion and purpose in life regardless of age because I found mine after many years living aimlessly.

I can’t even imagine how many people struggle the same way I did and have no passion for their job. They are monotonously doing the same thing every day living in uncertainty, hoping that they won’t lose their job. How many people regardless of age, gender, or occupation, would like to live a better life, but they don’t know how and where to start.
